Circular Raw Materials and Recycling for Sustainability (CRAWMA) – 1st Edition
N9VE participated in the Circular Raw Materials and Recycling for Sustainability (CRAWMA) – 1st Edition, held on 17–18 June at the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.
European Commission identifies permanent magnets as a strategic priority for rare earth recovery
The European Commission, through its Joint Research Centre (JRC), has published a new report supporting the implementation of the Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA), identifying permanent magnets as one of the priority components for the recovery of critical raw materials in the European Union. The study highlights, in particular, permanent magnets used in wind turbines, electrical and electronic equipment, and electric vehicles, recognising their significant potential to strengthen Europe’s strategic autonomy and accelerate the transition towards a more circular economy.
Summer School on Critical Raw Materials and Magnet Recycling
N9VE participated in the ReMag Summer School in Ljubljana, presenting advances in rare earth recovery and magnet recycling while reinforcing the importance of European collaboration to build more circular, resilient, and sustainable supply chains for critical raw materials.
Wind Europe's EoLIS 2025
Our CEO, José, represented N9VE at WindEurope's EoLIS 2025 in Lisbon, sharing our vision for a truly European supply chain for rare earths. He highlighted our sustainable and cost-efficient technology for recovering rare earths from end-of-life magnets — a key step toward a resilient and circular wind industry. #EoLIS #rareearths #N9VE
Ecomondo 2025
At Ecomondo 2025, the leading European fair for the green and circular economy with over 100,000 visitors, José presented ReMaG – Recycling Magnets of End-of-Life Wind Turbines during the EIT RawMaterials Day.
Invited by EIT RawMaterials, N9VE is showcasing its work on developing and scaling a European process for rare earth recovery, helping to build a circular and resilient magnet value chain.

EIT RawMaterials Partner Day 2025
N9VE was proud to participate in the EIT RawMaterials Partner Day 2025, the gathering point for Europe’s leading community in raw materials, circularity, and innovation.
As we advance with our Rare Earths & Magnetics Innovation Center, we remain committed to building Europe’s capability to recover and valorize critical raw materials — starting from end-of-life permanent magnets.
This event was not only an opportunity to showcase our progress but also to connect with partners who share our mission: strengthening Europe’s sustainability, competitiveness, and leadership in the global clean energy transition.

ReMag - a collaborative project funded by EIT RawMaterials
We’re proud to kick off ReMag, a collaborative project funded by EIT RawMaterials, bringing together industry and research partners to build a new value chain for the sustainable recovery of Rare Earth Elements (REE) from End-of-Life permanent magnets. As part of ReMag, we will commission N9VE’s pilot unit at our Rare Earths & Magnetics Innovation Center in Barcelos, Portugal — a key step toward scaling sustainable REE recovery in Europe. The project gathers key players across Europe:
N9VE (Portugal, coordination)
Enercon (Germany)
National Institute of Chemistry (Slovenia)
SE&C (Greece)
Galp (Portugal)
Over the next two years, ReMag will deliver a pilot solution to recover critical materials and support compliance with the new EU Critical Raw Materials Act. ReMag starts with ambition and alignment — and we’re just getting started.
